William Richard Nowicki

Mr. William Richard Nowicki, age 94, a resident of Lewisburg, Tennessee, formerly of Johannesburg, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at his residence.

Born April 16, 1931, in Bay City, Michigan, William was the son of the late Edward Nowicki and the late Rose Nearing Nowicki. He served four years in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Following his military service, he dedicated twenty-five years to General Motors, retiring in 1991. He was happily married thirty-three years to Levorna Jean Nowicki before her passing on July 31, 2024.

A true outdoorsman at heart, William found great joy in hunting and fishing. He cherished his years in Northern Michigan and embraced a new chapter when he relocated to Tennessee in 2021.

He is survived by his children, Carol (Tony) Smith, John (Catherine Roof) Nowicki, Mike (Melinda) Herron, Dennis (Lisa) Herron, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Nowicki.
