Tony Lee Pruitt, age 58, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Tim Street officiating. A visitation will also be held Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home.
Born in Maury County, Tennessee, Tony was the son of the late Dennis Harry Pruitt and Juanita Lay Thomas. He grew up loving all things sports—especially football and baseball—and also enjoyed racing motorbikes in his younger years. A devoted fan of the Tennessee Vols, the Tennessee Titans, and NASCAR, Tony rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. Some of his fondest memories were made fishing with his daddy, a pastime he cherished deeply. Tony will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
Tony is survived by his mother, Juanita Thomas; step mother, Margaret Pruitt, his girlfriend, Lorry White; and her son, Dylan Hanvy, who was like a son to Tony. He is also survived by grandchildren, Isabella Hanvy, Adalaide Hanvy, and Aidan Hanvy; aunts and uncles, Donna (Jim) Nutt, Danny (Gail) Lay, Brenda (Bill) Pate, Deborah (Ronnie) Tarkington, Doyle Lay, and Tammy (Vince) Scott; and nieces and nephews, Tyler Huntwork, Kaylee Huntwork, Mallory O’Neal, and Michael O’Neal, along with many cousins.
In addition to his father, Dennis Harry Pruitt, Tony was preceded in death by his stepfather, Phil Thomas, and brother, Chester Dewayne Pruitt.
