Toby Ann Grove

Mrs. Toby Ann Grove, age 85, resident of Centerville, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021, at her residence.

A burial will be held at the Middle Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery in Pegram, Tennessee at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 28, 2021 with Brother Bill McDonald officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born November 10, 1935 in Widen, West Virginia; Toby was the daughter of the late Dana Griffith and late Freda Dorsey Griffith. She was a homemaker; and wife of the late Bennie Lee Grove. Toby had a lifelong love for learning, especially history, science, and politics. She loved nature, animals, and was most passionate about her family.

Toby is survived by her son: David (Wanda) Grove of Maryland; daughters: Katharine (Dan) Hildebrand of Virginia, Cynthia Grove (Walter Hanselman) of Tennessee; brothers: Dana (Pam) Griffith of West Virginia, Gary Griffith of West Virginia; sisters: Sally Dean (Byron) of Virginia, Patricia Hickman of West Virginia; grandchildren: Rachel (Andrew Hall) Schomburg-Hall, Jack “Gus” (Rachel) Adamson, Olivia Hildebrand. Aaron (Alicia) Hildebrand, Aimee Hildebrand, Danielle Hildebrand; and great grandchildren: Charlemagne Adamson, and Brody Hildebrand. Also, dear to her, friends George and Whitney Johnston.

In addition to her parents and husband, Toby was preceded in death by her sisters: Gwen Grogg and Dawn Clevinger.
