Thomas Howard Garner, age 47, Watertown, Tennessee, passed from this mortal existence on July 13, 2024 at his home.
He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts to Howard Garfield Garner, Jr. and Karen Anita Rogers, both of whom are deceased. His sister, Donna Lynne Garner, is also deceased. Survivors include: Vicki Garner and her husband, Tony Dick; Lori Garner Brown; Tracy Garner Hayes and her husband, Stan; Amanda Garner Hodges; and many nieces and nephews.
Tom graduated from Grissom High School in Huntsville, Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. In addition, he took a two year break from his college education to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Guayaquil, Ecuador where he became fluent in Spanish.
He worked at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, Washington D.C. for many years before relocating to Tennessee to work as a cyber security consultant/SME specializing in IAM, PAM, and IGA solutions.
Tom’s two passions were technology and fast play toys. Motorcycles, jet skis, cars.....you name it. If it was fast, he loved it. He had a great sense of humor. He was known for a generous spirit and love of family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
