Steve Dennis Gilliam

Mr. Steve Dennis Gilliam, 69, resident of Columbia, passed away peacefully, on Sunday March 29, 2026 at 9:22 pm, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 5-7PM on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Heritage Funeral Home. A small graveside service will be held on Friday April 3, 2026 at 12 PM at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Steve continued his family’s legacy, following his father’s death. He and his late wife Connie, successfully operated the farm, throughout both of their lives. Together they also owned and operated an appliance service company until Connie’s passing.

Steve was a man who enjoyed laughing and spending time with the ones he loved. He loved watching old western shows, such as Bonanza and Rawhide. His favorite pastime were sitting down at the river and fishing for catfish. He loved making banana pudding and asparagus casseroles for the ones he loved dear. Later in his life he enjoyed watching his cows play and grave in the field.

Steve will be remembered as a pillar in the community helping anyone he could. He loved his family and friends deeply and will be missed tremendously missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his sons, Michael (Denise) Gilliam, Josh (Val) Gilliam, the mother of his children, Terri, grandkids, Cameron (Hunter), Abigail (Jordan), Samantha, Connor, Nicholas, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
