Shirley Elizabeth Fields

Shirley Elizabeth Fields, age 72, a resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Born on April 26, 1954, in Nashville, Tennessee, Shirley was the daughter of the late George Edward McCullar and the late Lilly Mae Pomroy McCullar. She worked for 17 years at White Castle in Nashville. Shirley enjoyed sitting on her porch, feeding and watching the birds and squirrels, getting her nails done, and spending time talking on the phone with her best friend. She also adored her granddogs.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Glen Fields of Lawrenceburg; her sons, Chris Fields of Lawrenceburg and Glen (Allyson) Fields of Russellville, Kentucky; her daughter, Ashley (Jon-Erik) Spurlock of Hermitage; her grandchildren, Steven Spurlock, Robert Fields, and Joshua Fields; her great-grandson, Parker Lee Fields; and her best friend, Grace Madden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William Edward "Willie Ed" McCullar and David McCullar.
