Sarena Lynn Lovett

Sarena Lynn Lovett, 66, of Cornersville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at her residence.

A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 11:00 am at Heritage Funeral Home, with Steve Morgan officiating and followed by burial at Maury Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 15th, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Sarena was born on November 24, 1957, in Maury County, Tennessee, to the late Clarence Chapman Wood and Mary Frances Eubanks Humm. She attended Destiny Church and First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Sarena will be remembered as a selfless, fun-loving, and straightforward lady who found joy in gardening, cleaning, and painting. For 14 years, she served as a seafood specialist at Publix, where she touched the lives of many with her warm spirit. Sarena's passion for cooking, especially Sunday family dinners, brought loved ones together, creating cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.  She was a fighter giving every ounce she had until she left her frail body and became a citizen of God’s glorious kingdom.

Sarena is survived by her loving children, Tim (Leigh Ann) Stewart of Columbia and Cindy (Mark) Dalton of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Sean Russell, Faith (Chaffin) Thrasher, Hannah Russell (Tommy Sims), Jaden Stewart, and Ty Russell; great-grandchildren, Kaden Joyce, Kasen Sims, Kylie Sims, and Hadley Thrasher. She was preceded in death by her brothers Vincent Wood and Carmen Wood.

Paying tribute to Sarena as pallbearers will be Tim Stewart, Tom Russell, Mark Dalton, Chaffin Thrasher, Sean Russell, and Tommy Sims.
