Rubye Dean Faulkner Stanfill, age 91, a resident of Knob Creek Road in Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Tommy Fox and Roger Farmer officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Johnsons Chapel Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Sunday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
A native of Maury County, Rubye was born on August 24, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Thomas Faulkner and the late Agnes Hosford Culberson. She graduated from Santa Fe High School, and in 1954 married the love of her life, Edward Stanfill, who preceded her in death in 1995. Along with being a dedicated homemaker, Rubye worked many years with Lasko Metal Products before spending fifteen years with General Electric.
Rubye lived a life grounded in faith, family, and kindness. A devoted Christian, she was a longtime member of Theta Baptist Church where she once served as Treasurer. She delighted in sewing, creating quilts and handmaking clothes for her children, and found peace in tending to her garden and flowers. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generous heart, and her ability to love everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by her very special friends, Margie Jewell and Shelly Beasley, whom she loved and cared for dearly.
She is survived by her son, Larry (Denise) Stanfill, daughters, Cathy (Roger) Farmer, Vickie (Louie) McGlashan, sister, Lennie Boatright, grandchildren, Joey Fuller, Jason Stanfill, Brandon Fuller, Gloria Carver, Patrick Vestal, Nathan Sparkman, Katie Sparkman, Jennifer Stanfill, twenty great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Stanfill, daughter, Connie Vestal, grandson, Anthony Stanfill, brothers, James Faulkner, Thomas Faulkner, Ernest Faulkner, and brother in law, Pete Boatright.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Joey Fuller, Brandon Fuller, Sam Fuller, Colin Fuller, Caleb Fuller, Nathan Sparkman, and Patrick Vestal. Honorary pallbearers will include Ronnie Sparkman, Terry Boatright, Brian Boatright, and Robert Jeanette.
