Roxie Jo Parnell

Roxie Jo Parnell, age 72, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Centennial Medical Center.

Born on April 2, 1954, in Hartford City, Indiana, Roxie was the daughter of the late Floyd Case and the late Doris James Case. A woman of strength and character, Roxie had a deep appreciation for nature and especially enjoyed spending time at the beach. She shared a special bond with her sisters and treasured the close relationships they maintained throughout their lives. Above all, Roxie adored her grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.

She is survived by her daughter, Alyssa (Erik) Luck of Culleoka, sisters, Roberta Gardner, Janice (Stephen) Collins, Floella Case, Melanie Harper, grandchildren, Holden Luck, Skylar Luck, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Parnell, and sister, Mary Jane Sommer.
