Ricky Dale Slaughter

Ricky Dale Slaughter, age 42, a resident of Primm Springs, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Ricky will be laid to rest at a later day in Slaughter Cemetery in Primm Springs. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 20, 1983, in Centerville, Tennessee, Ricky was the son of the late Donald Slaughter and Betty Tidwell Slaughter Potts, who passed away the same day as her beloved son.

Ricky spent several years working on Milton Beard’s dairy farm and was known as a true country boy at heart. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—spending time on his tractor, working on cars, and listening to country music.

He is survived by his daughter, Haley Slaughter, step father, John Emerson Potts, the mother of his children, Tabitha Scott, as well as his uncles and aunts, Wayne, Marie, Rachel, J.W., Jane Ann, Helen, and several cousins.
