Pamela Kay Pickering

Mrs. Pamela Kay Pickering, age 66, a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday, July 27, 2026 at St. Thomas West.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 2nd at 3pm at Heritage Funeral Home, with Clay Gentry and Tim Garrison officiating A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00-3:00 pm.

Born on December 29, 1959, in Columbia, TN and raised in Mt. Pleasant, TN, Pam was the daughter of the late William Lamar and the late Marilyn Taylor Lamar. Pam met Dennis Pickering while working as an office intern at the chemical plant where he was employed. They went on their first date on October 13, 1978, and were married exactly one year later. Together they built a life filled with love, celebrating 46 years of marriage. She worked at the Spring Hill Public Library for many years and met some of her closest friends there. Pam was a member of the Jackson Heights Church of Christ. She had a creative spirit and found great joy in decorating, flower-arranging, and baking cakes. She especially loved shopping for her six grandsons and was so excited to meet her long-awaited first granddaughter, Cecilia, in October. A loving daughter, wife, mother, Mimi, and friend, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband, Pam is survived by her daughters: Kali (Nathan) Richards, Erin (Darren) Dehut, Leah (Javier) Guerrero, grandchildren, Beckett Richards, Samuel Richards, Daniel Dehut, Elliott Dehut, Abram Dehut, Luca Guerrero, brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Camille Pickering, aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and a special group of church friends.
