Pamela Yvonne Melendez

Pamela Yvonne Melendez, age 69, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025 at 2 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Jorden Melendez officiating. A visitation will also be held on Monday from 12-2 at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on March 11, 1956 in Detriot, Michigan, Pamela was the daughter of the late Eugene Hamilton and the late Faunetta Booth Hamilton. Known to all as mamaw, Pamela embodied a true servants’ heart as she would help anyone in need no matter what, as everyone was family to her. She enjoyed drinking her Mt. Dew, going to car shows, her animals, shopping, reading her novels, going to her favorite restaurant, Mexican Garden, whenever she was in Southgate, and most of all spending time with her family. A loving sister, mother, mamaw, and great grandmother she will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughters, Joni (Paul) Edwards, Faunetta (Peter) Mason, sisters, Joetta (Bobby) Hurley, Lisha Stewart, grandchildren, Emily (Shawn) Rochester, Cristian (Shelby) Melendez, Taylor (Nathan) Pope, Alexis Edwards, Jorden Melendez, Jacen Melendez, Kara Estes, Arianna Gray, Addison Auch, and numerous family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Pamela was preceded in death by her brother Paul Hamilton.
