Norman Ray Jacobs, Jr., age 83, husband of Carol McCollum Jacobs, and a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, as his residence.

A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with the Jacobs family officiating. Military honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday, from 12:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest privately at Maury Memorial Gardens.

Born on November 30, 1942, in Oceanside, California, Norman was the son of the late Norman Ray Jacobs, Sr. and the late Geraldine Gardner Marolf. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Cuba Campaign.

On October 4, 1963, he married Carol McCollum. They first began ministry during the late sixties in California during the Jesus Movement. They saw many young people saved and delivered. They continued by assisting pastors in building churches and discipling until they attended RHEMA Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They graduated together in 1980. In 1986, God called them both into a mission’s ministry where they traveled to fifteen countries teaching seminars and evangelism. In 1988, God called them to Mexico where they lived and pastored a bi-lingual church for two years. In 1992, God added to their vision and ministry, calling them to pastor Trinity Family Church in Columbia Tennessee.

Pastor Norman loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. If you knew Pastor Norman, you knew about his love for the beach and seafood. You also knew about his love for anything peanut butter. He spent his time well, surrounded by his loved ones, listening to the Gaither’s; studying the word, and shopping. He always knew where to find the best deals.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, David (Genny) Jacobs, daughters, Jeanne (Barry) Johnston, Lisa (Tim) Meise, grandchildren, Daniel (Lydia) Johnston, Holli (Carlton) Lear, Anna Johnston, Hannah Jacobs, Nicole Meise, Halla (Payton) Haslam, Micah Meise, Jared Meise, Hope Jacobs, great grandchildren, Eliza, Leon, and Kai, sister in law, Judy Jaocbs, half-brother, Joey Jacobs, nephews, Steven (Holly) Jacobs, Brian (Andria) Jacobs, Jeremy (Shaina) Jacobs, and several great nephews and nieces.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Lee Jacobs.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Steven Jacobs, Brian Jacobs, Jeremy Jacobs, Daniel Johnston, Micah Meise, and Jared Meise.
