Listen to Obituary

Millard Clay Alley, 64, a Maury County resident passed away at his home on August 18th, 2026, after battling extended illnesses.

He was born to parents; Malcolm Rice Alley and Viney (Bonnie) Melissa Thomason Alley of Columbia and was the youngest of 8 children. Clay had lived in Riverside with his life partner Pam Jackson for the past 18 years. His God given talents led him to a career of construction work and auto mechanics until his health no longer allowed him to continue. He was a former member of Riverside Church of Christ. Those who truly knew him say he was a kind sweet person who would help anyone in need and never ask anything in return. Clay loved his cats (specifically Scamp), 70’s rock and roll music, and classic cars. He also loved to cook for a crowd and just have fun-everyone was welcome! He also enjoyed watching old TV reruns, especially Gunsmoke.

He was preceded in death by his parents Malcolm and Bonnie Alley, as well as brothers: Malcolm Rice Alley, Jr., Michael Dwayne Alley, Mitchell Eugene Alley and half-brother, Robert “Bobby” Malcolm Alley all of Columbia, nephews: Landon and Brandon Alley of Spring Hill.

In addition to his partner Pam, he is survived by one son, William Malcolm Alley of Columbia; brother, Milton Wayne (Kathy) Alley of Spring Hill; sisters, Connie Darlene Alley of Columbia, Bonnie Alley Rice (Rich Alves) of Nashville, sisters in law, Ruby Alley, Paulette Alley, Debbie Alley all of Columbia and Patricia “Tricia” Alley of Spring Hill, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family wants to recognize his special friends, (his boys) Issac and Aaron Davis of Wartrace and Lisa Strahle of Dugger, IN. Also, many thanks to good friend and helper Jason Dial.

The family will be having a private Celebration of Life.
