Michael Arthur Cashin, age 44, of Spring Hill, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, leaving behind a loving family and countless people whose lives were touched by his kindness, humor, and generous spirit.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 6th at 12pm at The Bridge Church Columbia with Phil Sanchez officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 11am until the service hour at the church. A reception will follow after the service at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Michael was born on June 26, 1982, in Vancouver, Washington, to Arthur Henry Cashin III and Patricia Evelyn Cashin. He graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University in North Carolina with a master’s degree. He spent a couple of years working as a math teacher before beginning his most recent career with the Department of the Treasury, where he served as a Criminal Investigative Analyst.

Michael had a remarkable ability to connect with people. He could talk to anyone about anything and somehow make you believe he was an expert in it all. His quick wit, competitive nature, and infectious sense of humor made him unforgettable. He was kind, supportive, loving, and always ready to make others laugh. Whether he was making a new friend or spending time with those closest to him, Michael had a way of making people feel welcome and valued.

He also had a competitive spirit and a love for challenging himself. Among his accomplishments were completing a half Ironman and running a marathon alongside his sister, Rebekah. He embraced life with determination and enthusiasm, bringing that same spirit to the many relationships and experiences that meant so much to him.

Above all else, Michael was a devoted husband and father. He was the love of his wife Amanda’s life. He was her best friend, champion, and her forever person. He was a wonderful husband and an amazing father who took immense pride in his children, Alexander James and Evelyn Grace. Michael was their favorite person, and he loved them beyond measure. He was deeply involved in their lives and cherished the time he spent with them. His greatest joy was being their dad, and his love for them will remain a lasting part of who they are.

Michael’s passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family and friends. His loved ones find comfort in the memories they shared and in the hope that they will see him again one day. Though his time with them was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on through his wife, children, family, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Along with his parents, Arthur Henry Cashin III and Patricia Evelyn Cashin, Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Amanda Brittany Cashin; his daughter, Evelyn Grace Cashin; his son, Alexander James Cashin; his sister, Rebekah Patricia Cashin; his father- and mother-in-law, Christopher and Cynthia Pascoe; his mother-in-law, Michelle Ellis; his uncles, David Cashin and Scott Hemphill; his brother-in-law, Charles Ellis; his sisters-in-law, Nicole Pascoe, Jennifer (Andy) Dering, Bethany Smith, and Samantha (Will) Vaden; and his nieces and nephews, Aurora Hinson, Beckett Hinson, Ryker Hinson, Adelyn Dering, Leon Brymesser, Presley Vaden, Emmy Vaden, Vivian Vaden, and Magnolia Vaden.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Evelyn Cox, Wilma Cashin, and Kenneth Cashin, and his aunts, Margareta Cashin and Linda Hemphill.

Michael will be remembered for his loving heart, quick wit, competitive spirit, unwavering support for those he loved, and, most importantly, his devotion to his family. The world has lost an extraordinary man, husband, father, son, brother, and friend. His family will carry his memory forward, sharing stories of his life and keeping his love alive for his children as they grow.
