Mary Ruth Wilson

Mary Ruth Wilson, age 84, resident of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at her residence.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Doyle Hurst officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 12:00 PM until the 2:00 PM service hour. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mary was born on August 11, 1941, in Pulaski, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Finley Turner and the late Ruby Britton Turner. She enjoyed being outdoors, cooking, reading, especially her Bible, writing poetry, her vegetable garden, but most of all she treasured her time spent with her beloved family. A loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother she will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memories are her loving son, Micheal Wilson, loving and devoted daughters, Pamela (Larry) Baker, Angelia Wilson, Holly Wilson, sisters, Norma (Terry) Mitchell, Wanda Gibson, loving grandchildren, Kayla Schillig, Matthew (Heather) Wilson, Amanda (Josh) Oliver, Jason Baker, Annika (Roosevelt) Conway, and ten great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Finley Turner, James Turner, Bobby Turner, Dean Turner, sisters, Virginia Turner, Thelma Jones, Lorene Sherill, Marie Sheedy, Linda Bradford, grandchildren, Paul Wilson, and Christopher Baker.

Pallbearers will be Larry Baker, Roosevelt Conway, Josh Oliver, Cannon Oliver, Anias Liles, and Jason Baker.
