Theresa was born on December 16, 1936 in Loretto, Tennessee, to the late Oscar Joseph Evers and the late Theresa Bauer Evers. Theresa dedicated many years of her professional life to The Pathology Group at Maury Regional with Drs. Mayfield, Olsen, and Ferrell, where her German heritage of determination and hard work served her community. A true nature lover, Theresa found immense joy in caring for her plants and the many of God’s little creatures that crossed her path. Her pets, Moose and Jinky, were her constant companions, providing her with unconditional love and comfort. Theresa also cherished her time spent at the lake, where the tranquility and beauty of nature brought her great peace. Theresa was a devout Catholic, and her faith was a cornerstone of her life. In addition to her love for nature and her faith, Theresa was an avid antique collector and expert at needlepoint.
Theresa is survived by her loving husband of fifty-two years, Ronald L. Wenzel, sisters-in-law, Joanne Dell Wenzel Berryhill (Ken), Linda Jean Wenzel Duesler and Nell Evers, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her seven brothers, Sylvester “Pete” Evers, Oscar Evers, Jr., Al Evers, Victor Evers, Dennis “Jed” Evers, Ambrose Evers and Cyril Evers; and four sisters, Mary Joe Evers, Bernadine “Bernie” Hollman, Lucille Niedergeses, and Dorothy Eckl.
