Mary Alice Ann Himes

Mary Alice Ann Himes, age 70, a resident of Hohenwald, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at residence.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Jeff Durham officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in New Salem Cemetery in Summertown with her great nephews serving as pallbearers. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on December 10, 1954, in Lewis County, Tennessee, Mary was the daughter of the late Frank and Eunice Himes. An angel trapped in disabled body, she was a woman of Christian faith who found comfort in gospel music, often humming along to her favorite songs. She also cherished the simple joy of rocking in her rocking chair.

She is survived by her brother, Earl Wayne (Linda) Himes of Duck River, sisters, Susie Carroll of Hohenwald, and Rena Shifflett (Joseph Adamar) of Duck River, nieces and nephews, Craig Azcarate, Christy Watts, Terry (April) Prince, Rodney Himes, and numerous great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
