Mark Allen Potterbaum, age 61, beloved husband of Becky Potterbaum, and a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on November 13, 1962, in Elkhart, Indiana, Mark was the son of Charlene Kendall Potterbaum and the late Otis Eugene Potterbaum. He married Becky Burdick on December 15, 1984, and their union blessed them with two natural born and four adopted children. Known for his vibrant spirit and boundless positivity, Mark had a gift for lighting up any room, and he never met a stranger. His unwavering love for Jesus and his family was the cornerstone of his life. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Michaela Potterbaum of Nashville, TN, Bradley (Emily) Potterbaum of College Grove, TN, Tyler Potterbaum of Columbia, TN, Devin (Anna) Potterbaum of Elkhart, IN, Emma Potterbaum of Columbia, TN, LilyAnna Potterbaum of Columbia, TN, grandchildren, Weston, Audrey, Isla, and Cameron Potterbaum, and siblings, Larry (Laurie B.) Potterbaum, Donald Potterbaum, Janis Engle, Laurie Fritz Potterbaum, and James Potterbaum.
The family will hold a celebration of life service in June. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
