Margaret Ann Lamar

Margaret Ann Lamar, age 83, a resident of Culleoka, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

A Funeral service will be held on Monday, September, 29, 2025 at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Mount Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 4-7PM at the funeral home.

Born on March 16, 1942 in Maury County, Margaret was the daughter of the late Phillip Goats and the late Marshie Ferguson Goats. Margaret married her best friend and love of her life, Larry Lamar and they celebrated sixty-one years of marriage together. She embodied a true servant's heart, helping anyone she could without question. She enjoyed being outdoors, her yellow roses, cooking, and was known for her jolly sense of humor. A loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband, Margaret is survived by her son, Dave (Angela) Lamar, daughter, Peggy (Adam) Hayes, brothers, William Goats, Phillip Goats, Larry (Carolyn) Goats, grandchildren, Brandy Nunley, Cassie Hallman, Brittany (Matt) Pressley, Chasity Lamar (Jacob), Brandon (Cassie) Lamar, Caitlyn (Trevor) Cummings, Anthony (Sara) Hayes, great grandchildren, Brookelyn Nunley, Madalyn Nunley, Blaine Nunley, Bryce Nunley, Waylon Cummings, Cruz Hallman, Max Hallman, Watson Pressley, sisters-in-laws, Ruth Lamar, Miriam Battersby, Janet Lamar, brother-in-law, Kenneth (Cathy) Lamar.

In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her brothers, Earnest Goats, Jerry Goats, grandson, Walker Lazarz, brother-in-aw, Jimmy Lamar.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
