Linda Marie Parrish

Linda passed away peacefully at her home in Little Lot at 1:10 PM on Sunday, October 12, 2025. She was surrounded by family members as she passed peacefully into God’s loving embrace.

Linda was the daughter of the late William A and Lydia C Mercier. She was born in Boston. She met and married her husband Roger T Parrish in 1990 and became a military wife, upon his retirement in 1996 they moved to Middle Tennessee and settled in a house they owned in the Little Lot Community. Although she was from the north you could never convince her she was not a southern girl at heart. She loved the outdoors, her animals and most of all her family.

Linda is survived by her husband of thirty-six years Roger T. Parrish as well as two sisters, Brenda Mercier and Darlene Harris, four children, Arthur J Mahoney Jr, Lora M. Hayes, Robert C.E Parrish and her bonus daughter Angela Hemmert. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, two bonus grandchildren as well as eight great grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and had a passion for sewing and through the years made several outfits for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a love for her pets and animals throughout the years, from the dogs and cats to the newborn baby goats that required her devoted attention as well as her love for her chickens which is displayed throughout the family home. Her home was always filled with love, warmth and kindness for her family and friends and even strangers she met along the way.

Never one to back down, her response to all encountered was straight and to the point, “tell it like it is” is how she lived, and although some were offended she was always up-front and truthful; honesty was the only way. Her kindness and devotion to those that she loved and cherished will forever be remembered. She will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
