Linda Kay Fitzgerald

Linda Kay Fitzgerald, age 80, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home. Following the service she will be laid to rest in Santa Fe Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Born on February 11, 1945, in Columbia, Tennessee, Linda was the daughter of the late Roy B. Pruitt and the late Lennie Pruitt and was a graduate of Spring Hill High School. Linda was an outgoing woman who was truly the life of the party. Her greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spending time outdoors and shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Dixie.

She is survived by her son, Howard “Todd” Fitzgerald, grandchildren, Courtney (Brad) Potts, Kalee (TJ) Thompson, Jack (Jill) Fitzgerald, great grandchildren, Chloe Anderson, Todd Anderson, Sam Potts, Chandler Thompson, Curt Thompson, and sister, Betty Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Hood.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Brad Potts, TJ Thompson, Jack Fitzgerald, Todd Anderson, Troy Hood, Chase Smith, and Tanner Warf.
