Kimberly Aston Kennedy Woody, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
She was born to James and Janet Anderson Kennedy in Knoxville, TN, on March 8, 1969. Kim was a graduate of Marion County High School, University of Tennessee, Middle Tennessee State University, and Tennessee State University.
She was a former Maury County Commissioner, and a teacher at Santa Fe School, White Stone Academy, and Spring Hill High School. She enjoyed travelling, making jewelry and cooking. She had many friends and influenced two generations of students.
She is survived by her partner in crime Nick Shirling; her mother and father; her sons Rob Woody, Jay Woody, and Sam Woody; her granddaughters Kennedy Woody and Rosemary Woody; her sister Shannon Kennedy (Craig Quick) and brother Ande Kennedy (Ceri Chapple); the father of her children Ray Woody; her sister-in-law Jane Woody; her mother-in-law Allison Woody; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Bell, Mike Chandler, David Moore, Tyler Luna, John Farmer, and Rick Brackney. Honorary pallbearers will include Ken Jackson, Debra Totty, Cathy Cook, Amy Perryman, Jeff Richie, Richard Godfrey, Christine Potts, SFS Classes of 1999, 2002, 2006, 2010, and SHHS Homeroom 202-24.

Friends and family will be received at Heritage Funeral Home on August 24, 2024, from 10-11:00 am CDT, followed by a memorial service at the same location.
