Kay Lillian Mullins

Kay Lillian Mullins, age 79, a resident of Columbia, passed away April 1, 2026 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Kay was born in Harlan County Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Hence Mullins and the late Francis Ellenburg Mullins. She had a servant’s heart which led her to a lifelong career as a CNA. She received her salvation at a young age and loved the Lord dearly. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching the game show network and Hallmark channel, loved her cats, good food, and watching Joel Olsten. Kay was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Shonna Reed, brothers, Randy (Sherri) Oplinger, Rev. Ronnie (Mitizi) Oplinger, sister Janice Pursiful, grandchildren, Jacob Radwell, Kelsey Reed, great grandchildren, Brayden Radwell, Asher McNeese, and special friend, Von McKee.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Darryl Mullins.
