Kay Darlene Lowery, age 60, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at St. Thomas West.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Jerry Golden officiating. A visitation will also be held on Monday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on June 10, 1965, in Giles County, Tennessee, Darlene was the daughter of the late Robert Junior Fralix and the late Nellie Ruby Gladys Smith Fralix. She devoted her life to her family as a loving homemaker, mother, and grandmother. Known for her kind and loveable nature, Darlene had a sharp mind and a gift for conversation. She especially loved the color purple and delighted in lightheartedly sharing her belief in Bigfoot.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Lowery of Columbia, children, Tina (Chris) Bates, Kevin (Alicia) Golden, Katherine Golden, Shawn Lowery, Janna Lowery, and Crystal Lowery, brothers, Billy Fralix, Bruce (Teresa) Fralix, Gary (Laney) Fralix, Danny Fralix, sisters, Barbara Kilpatrick, Betty (Jerry) Golden, grandchildren, Spencer Golden, Christopher Lee (Jacey) Bates, Eliana Bates, Jasmine Lowery, great grandchildren, Asher Martin, Remington Kate Bates, and several nieces and nephews.
