Judy Ann Johnson, age 78, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Life Care Center.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on October 21, 1946, in Danville, Kentucky, Judy was the daughter of the late Woodrow Harris and the late Edna Montgomery Harris. She married Marvin Johnson in September of 1963, and together they shared 60 years of marriage until his passing on October 5, 2023.
Judy had a vibrant spirit and a love for life. She enjoyed music—especially rock—and attending concerts. Known for being outgoing, she loved to dance and had a personality that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She also enjoyed shopping, tending to her flowers, and taking in animals. Most of all, Judy cherished her family, with a special devotion to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Michelle Smith, Sharon Johnson, siblings, Mary Jo Johnson, Barbara Jean (Doris) King, grandchildren, Corey Johnson, Milburn (Danielle) Edwards, Stephanie Budrewicz, Marvin Russell, Megan Smith, Sherry Johnson, and great grandchildren, Jaiden Budrewicz, Aaliyah Edwards, Jaxon Edwards, and Eviana Edwards.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Raymond Harris, Billy Harris, Ronie Harris, and Virginia Lee King.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Marvin Russell, Milburn Edwards, Corey Johnson, and Jaiden Budrewicz.
