Mr. Jon Charles Frydenlund, age 65, beloved husband of Debbie Frydenlund, and a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, following a brief illness.

Born on March 2, 1960, in Duluth, Minnesota, Jon was the son of the late Jon Carue Frydenlund and the late Margaret “Peggy” Louise Woehrle Frydenlund. He dedicated thirty-three years of service as the head mechanic at Legends Golf Course, retiring in 2025. Jon and Debbie were married in December of 2007, sharing many wonderful years together.

Jon was happiest when he was in his shop, tinkering, repairing, and bringing new life to old things. He enjoyed fishing, dove hunting, and was known for being an exceptional cook and grill master. He was a loyal Tennessee Titans fan. Above all, he cherished his children and family, who will miss him deeply.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Phillip (Cathey) Kennedy, Scott Kennedy, Jon Carter (Anna) Frydenlund, Jene (Sherry) Frydenlund, brother, Paul Evan (Osiris) Frydenlund, grandchildren, Cody (Lauren) Kennedy, Camryn (Jaeden) Kennedy, Hanna Kennedy, Tommy (Emerson) Kennedy, Addie Frydenlund, Koda Frydenlund, two great grandchildren, and nephew, Bryan Glenn Frydenlund.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Frydenlund.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Alive Hospice, 1629 Williams Drive, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
