John Steve Wakham

John Steve Wakham, Sr., age 73, a resident of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Born on January 16, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio, Steve was the son of the late John D. Wakham and the late Mamie Ruth Adams Wakham. He devoted many years of his career to Walker Die Cast, where he worked as a machine operator until his retirement. In the final years of his life, Steve fulfilled a lifelong dream of living on his own small farm, where he found great joy and contentment.

He is survived by his son, John Steve (Danielle) Wakham, Jr.; siblings, Joe (Sandy) Wakham, Brenda (Eugene) Pullen, Sally (Mike) Woodard; grandchildren, Dakota Haley, Laike Haley, Morgan Haley, Trenton Wakham, Jacob Wakham, Ava Wakham, Kingslee Wakham, Charlie Wakham; and great grandchildren, Lucius Haley, Tucker Haley, and Odin Wayne Phillips.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Shai Haley; sister, Linda Peden; and brother, Mike “Louie” Wakham.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
