Jerry Gulley

Jerry Wendell Gulley, age 82, resident of Athens, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at his residence.

Jerry will be placed in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum on Saturday, August 22nd at 2:00pm.

Jerry was born February 4, 1944, in Limestone County, Alabama and was the son of the late Lon Gulley and the late Florence Powers Gulley. He was a brick mason and of the Pentecostal faith.

He was a well-loved dad and granddaddy.

He is survived by his children, Shawn (Starla) Gulley, Jerry Neal Gulley, Bobby (Sheila) Pylant, Danny Pylant, and Rocky Pylant, Laura McMinn and Wanda Gonzales; sister, Betty Jo McGraw, 15 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Boyd Gulley, daughter, Rhonda Ridinger, sisters, Wanda and Anna, and brother, Junior Gullett.
