Jennifer Pilgreen

Jennifer Pilgreen of Tracy City TN, formerly of Columbia, passed away in Chattanooga on December 4, 2025 following a short illness. Her final days were peaceful surrounded by loving family and friends.

Born Jennifer Ann Sylvest, daughter of Tom Sylvest and Kyong Suk Pac Sylvest, in San Antonio, TX on May 1, 1977 she lived her early life in California. The family moved to Brentwood TN in 1988 and Jennifer graduated Brentwood High School class of 1995. After briefly attending University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Jennifer returned home to enter the work force and met Casey Pilgreen in 1997. Ten years later they married on November 11, 2006, moving to Columbia TN where they lived until moving to Tracy City in July 2025.

Jennifer had a wonderful work ethic and great ability to learn and adapt at different job levels. She was employed by Keller Williams for several years and then later by United Healthcare. A self-starter and go-getter she made many friends and was respected by peers and supervisors. She never met a stranger and had a unique way of getting to know people on a personal level, making friends across the country. Her wonderful smile and laughter were trademarks everyone remembers. Once you met her and got to know her, you could not forget her, nor her you.

Preceded in death by her mother in 2023, Jennifer is survived by her loving husband, Casey, her daughter Elizabeth Grace (Libby), son Elijah Kole (Eli) and her father, Tom Sylvest. She also leaves a host of extended family of in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins to cherish her memory.

A memorial celebration of life will be held in her honor January 17, 2026, 1 PM – 3 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, 609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia TN 38401.
