Janet McCoy of Columbia, Tennessee

Janet McCoy, 53, resident of Columbia, passed away Friday, August 23 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A memorial visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, August 28 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home.

Born March 14, 1966, she was the daughter of Mary Wilson Pickett and the late William McCoy. She worked as a press operator for Best Cleaners. She loved to cook for her family, watch movies and travel.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter: Jessica McCoy of Columbia; brother: James Pickett, Jr of Washington DC; sisters: Beverly McCoy of Columbia and Felicia Pickett of Washington DC; a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Star McCoy; brothers: Charles A. McCoy and Charles F. Pickett; paternal grandparents: Elizabeth Coffee, Mary A. and Hershel Wilson; step-father: James Pickett, Sr; several aunt and uncles.
