Janet Marie Caldwell Lamar, age 83, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, in Columbia, Tennessee.

Born on October 5, 1942, in Columbia, Tennessee, Janet was the daughter of the late William “Bill” Caldwell and the late Lurlene Brown Caldwell. On June 2, 1961, she married Jimmie Lamar; he preceded in her in death on February 8, 2017. Mrs. Lamar valued her church family and was a dedicated member of New Lasea Church of Christ.

A loyal wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she is survived by two sons, Paul (Linda) Lamar, Dale Lamar, three grandchildren, Jacob (Katherine) Lamar, Marlee Frazier, and Elayna Lamar, two great grandchildren, Milo Frazier and Johanna Lamar, brother, Billy (Anna) Caldwell, and many extended family members of whom she loved dearly.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 2:00 - 3:00 PM with the service beginning at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens.
