Janet Elaine Myers Herzog

Janet Elaine Herzog, a devoted Christian, compassionate caregiver, and beloved member of her family, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025 at the age of 76. 

Born to Jonas F. Myers and Ruth Myers in Westmoreland County, PA, Janet led a life grounded in faith and dedicated to serving God. Her unwavering belief in the power of generosity and spiritual strength guided her through every stage of her journey. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother James, and her daughter Elizabeth. Janet honored their memory through a life rooted in grace and devotion. 

She is survived by her son Matthew Herzog & daughter-in-law Kate Herzog; her cherished grandchildren Liam, Gavin, Stella, & Brooklyn; and her supportive siblings Otto, Gretchen, and Sarah, who will continue to uphold her legacy of spirituality and compassion. 

Janet spent much of her life caring for others, always offering her heart and hands in faithful service. Through her kindness, she touched many lives and left a lasting impression on all who knew her. 

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no formal service. Her family encourages those who knew her to remember the generosity and unwavering faith she shared so freely throughout her life. 

Her kindness, spiritual strength, and loving heart will be missed deeply and remembered always.
