Our dear sweet Mac was always the life of a party. He was involved in many plays at Franklin High, where he graduated in 1968. He then moved on to Mississippi and became involved with a local station with a good friend, Gary Baker. He then proceeded to join the US Navy, as his father once did. After the Navy he settled down for a bit in Texas and became the father of 2 wonderful kids. Franklin Tennessee was always his home, so he moved back. He truly was his mother’s favorite son. Mac followed his father’s lead again and was a heavy equipment operator for many many years. He had a best friend that no matter what stood by his side, Jerry Barker. Mac was the survivor of colon and throat cancer, neither one ever took his joy of life. The one thing he always shared was the thing that took him from us, his heart. Again, he loved to be the life of a party. We believe that is why he waited for Jimmy Buffet to go. That way he could get it started.
He is survived by his son, Josh McCullock of Virginia Beach, VA, daughter, Amy McCulloch of Virginia, sister, Kathy (Johnny) Yates of Nolensville, TN, grandchild, Damion Lillard, favorite niece, Amanda King, niece, Stacy Jackson, nephew, Kyle Brown, great nieces and nephews, Shelby, Tucker, Wyatt, Hannah, special friend, Ruby Dudley, and beloved dog, Ruby.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Pat McCullouch.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
