James Rolin Hawkins, Jr.

Mr. James Hawkins Jr., age 65, husband of Sharon Hawkins, and a resident of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at NHC Columbia.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Garden of Resurrection in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 12-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Son of the late James Hawkins, Sr. and the late Ann Jutz Blest, he was born on August 27, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri.

He is survived by his daughters, Katie Hawkins (Justin) Jones, Carolyn Hawkins (Nick Ohlemacher), brothers Guy Hawkins (Chris), Joe (Diane) Hawkins, grandchild, Elizabeth Hawkins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Hawkins.

James developed a love for music at an early age, this love for music led him to singing in the Maury County Chorale as an adult. He enjoyed football, wrestling, computers, a proud member of the SCA, and spending time with his family. He retired from Saturn/General Motors. He was loved by all who met him and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. There are never enough words to describe those we have lost, so in his memory, please tell those you love how much they mean to you while they are here.

Pallbearers will be: Jean-Azriel du Corbier, Griffin O’Suaird, Vladrikr Albriktsson, Nick Ohlemacher, Lawrence of Ashana, and Ricard of Glaedenfeld.
