Jackie Wayne Ervin, age 80, a resident of Pulaski, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025, at his residence. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on February 25, 1945, Jackie was the son of the late Archie Ervin and the late Florence Cozart Ervin.
Jackie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Devoted to his family, Jackie especially enjoyed relaxing on the back porch, watching the animals and soaking in the peaceful moments. He was rarely seen without Linda by his side—they were inseparable. Known for his strong will and friendly nature, Jackie never met a stranger. He cherished the comfort of home and was happiest surrounded by those he loved.
Jackie is survived by his wife, Linda Ervin; son, Travis (Holly) Ervin; sisters, Eleanor Rupert, Lula (Jack) Crigger and Dot Young; grandchildren, Felicia Ervin, Jonathan (Sarah) Ervin, Kaitlyn (Murphy) Hurkes, Katelyn Plentz, Autumn Sherrette; great-grandchildren, Matthew Ragsdale, Noah Ragsdale, Rebekah Ragsdale, Elijah Fitzgerald, Lily Naugle, and Andrew Naugle.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sons, Brownie Keith Ervin and Kelvin Wayne Ervin; brothers, Claudie Ervin, Bobby Ervin, Wilburn “Pig” Ervin, and Clyde Ervin; and sister, Betty Cheek.
