Isidro Velasquez Orozco

Isidro Velasquez Orozco, age 56, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Kelvin officiating. A visitation will also be held from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on March 26, 1970, Isidro was the son of the late Isidro Velasquez Orozco, Sr. and Maria Trinidad Orozco. Isidro was a skilled roofer and took pride in his profession. He enjoyed dancing and watching Broncos football and his greatest joy came from gambling.

Isidro is survived by his wife, Maria “Arreola” Velasquez; sons, Joshua (Katlynn Lovely) Isidro Velasquez of Columbia, Getzer Isidro Velasquez of Mexico, Juan Carlos Silva of Columbia; daughters, Enriqueta Cheyenne Velasquez of Columbia, Lesly Nohemi Velasquez of Mexico, Nancy Atayde of Columbia, Yesica Maria of Columbia; Mother of Joshua and Enriqueta, Angela Torres; brothers, Antonio Velasquez of Texas, Eugene Velasquez of Mexico, Silvestre Velasquez of Mexico; sisters, Eva Maria Velasquez of Mexico, Ana Velasquez of Columbia, and Laura Velasquez of Mexico; three grandchildren, Braxton Simmons, Aubrey Simmons and Myles Isidro Velasquez; like a son, Ruben “Tony” Soto; and special friends, Chivo and Cocho.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Armando Velasquez.
