Anthony Keith “Gus” Farris, age 62, a resident of Loretto, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at his residence.
Born on February 8, 1963, in Loretto, Gus was the son of the late Truman Elaine Farris and the late Frankie Jean Hughes Farris. He was known for his big heart, crazy stories, and quick wit. Gus never failed to put a smile on someone’s face or lend a helping hand to those who needed it most. He cherished time with his family and could often be found with his beloved dog, Maggie, with whom he is now reunited. Whether he was riding the roads, stacking wood, or watching SpongeBob, Gus found joy in every moment spent with his loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Hein Fitzgerald; daughter, Sarah Hein McNeil; sisters, Freda Carol Perry and Elaine Jackson; special granddaughter, Arionna Wyatt; grandchildren, Aramina Wyatt, David Wyatt, and Colby Butler; and great-grandchildren, Greyson Dunn, Oliver Wyatt, and Whitney Wyatt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amelia Wyatt, and his brother, Thurman Farris.
