Ginny Lynn Keel

Ginny Lynn Keel, 32, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on July 17, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Ginny was born on August 23, 1993, in Columbia, Tennessee, to Teresa Annette Spain and Paul Keel. She grew up between Lewisburg, Tennessee, and Hanceville, Addison, and Cullman, Alabama. If you knew Ginny, you knew she wasn’t the kind of person you’d forget. She had a way of making people laugh, speaking her mind, and loving people with her whole heart.

Out of everything she did in life, being a mama was what she was proudest of. Malaia and Xazavion were her world. She talked about them every chance she got, worried about them, laughed with them, and loved them harder than anything else. They were the reason she kept pushing, even when life wasn’t easy.

She loved being an aunt just as much. Her nieces and nephews could always count on her to love on them, spoil them a little, and make them smile.

Ginny was a clean freak, and nobody who knew her would argue with that. If there was a broom nearby, it was probably in her hand. She swept constantly, liked things in their place, and somehow always found something else to clean. It was just one of those things that made her who she was.

She worked a lot of different jobs over the years. She wasn’t afraid of hard work and did whatever she needed to do for the people she loved.

She also had her own little things that made her, her. If you’ve ever watched one of those chalk-crushing videos online and thought of Ginny, you’re not alone. Those little memories are the ones that will sneak up on us and make us smile when we least expect it.

Ginny was preceded in death by her mother, Teresa Annette Spain, and her grandmothers, Mary Harris and Jessie Keel.

She is survived by her father, Paul Keel; her children, Malaia Chanel Annette Keel and Xazavion Marquel O’Neal; her brother, Hunter Keel; her brother, Travis Holt; her sisters, Jessica Keel, Sarah McDonald, and Haylee Keel; her nieces, Tai’Leighonna Keel, ShayLeigh Keel, Zaylee McDonald, Addilynn McDonald, and Riley McDonald; her nephews, Cedric Holt, Kamden Keel, Andrew Walsh, Jace Walsh, and Ryan Walsh; and by her lifelong best friend, Victoria Walsh, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her more than words can say.

Ginny leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and a whole lot of people whose lives are better because she was part of them. She’ll be remembered in the little things, a song turned up too loud, a freshly swept floor, a chalk-crushing video, and every memory that still makes us laugh. Most of all, she’ll be remembered as a mama who loved her babies with everything she had.

Funeral services will be held at Rolling Hills Community Church, 6111 Cayce Lane, Columbia, Tennessee. Visitation for immediate family will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by visitation for friends and extended family from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
