George Wesley Waggoner, Jr. of Columbia, Tennessee

George Wesley Waggoner, Jr., age 84, husband of Deborah Kay Smith Waggoner, and a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at his residence.

Born on February 11, 1940, in Galveston, Texas, George was the son of the late George Wesley Waggoner, Sr. and the late Ruby Lee Young Waggoner. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, George Wesley (Sara) Waggoner, III of Franklin, TN, daughter, Dena (Michael) Beck of Atlanta, GA, granddaughter, Lyla Waggoner, brothers, Gordon, Bill, Robert, and Charles Waggoner, beloved dog, Bentley, numerous nieces and nephews, and several grandpups. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Kelley.
