Garret Thomas Munn, age 33, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at his residence.
His life will be celebrated in a funeral service on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. Cynthia McGowan officiating. Following the service, Garret will be laid to rest in Maury Memorial Gardens. Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Garret was born on July 29, 1990, in Columbia, Tennessee, and was the beloved son of Chris Munn and the late Tammie Paulk Munn. He worked several years as a glass technician for Glass Doctor.
Family was at the center of Garret's universe, with his partner in life, Breanna, and their two children, McKenzie and Kaiden, holding the deepest corners of his heart. Garret was a devoted father who not only provided for his family but also actively participated in their lives. He could often be found on the sidelines of their games, offering unwavering support and coaching with enthusiasm and pride. Additionally, Garret found joy in working on his truck, and riding motorcycles. Garret's selfless nature and willingness to lend a helping hand were defining characteristics of his personality. He prioritized the needs of others above his own, extending kindness and assistance without hesitation. His genuine and compassionate spirit touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Garret’s departure from this world leaves an irreplaceable void, yet his legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire and uplift all who were touched by his presence.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his father, Chris Munn of Columbia, love of his life and longtime companion, Breanna Holt of Columbia, cherished children, McKenzie Nevaeh Stutts of Culleoka and Kaiden Thomas Munn of Columbia, siblings, Chase Montana Munn of Columbia, Kaylee Nicole Munn of Florida, Landon Ryan Talbott of Columbia, grandmother, Margie (Ron) Owens, grandfather, Gary (Jeanne) Munn, nephew, Benjamin Tyler Munn, his second family and the ones he helped raise, Faith, Destinee, and Blake Browning, and numerous very special aunts, uncles, extended nieces and nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Milton Paulk, grandmother, Carolyn Munn, uncle, David Paulk, and father in law, David Browning.
Those proudly serving as pallbearers will be Chase Munn, Darren Hughes, Brian Chapman, Cody Dugger, Greyson McCaig, Trent Conner, Jaylon Roberts, and Blake Browning. Scott Falconbury will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
