Easter Mae Maynor Hodge, 94, of Culleoka, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on January 10, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with dementia. Born on July 7, 1931, in Clear Creek, West Virginia, she was the beloved daughter of Vince and Martha Maynor.
Easter was a devoted wife to her late husband, Eldie E. Hodge, and a loving mother to her surviving children, Greg (Gloria) Hodge and Debra (Rick) Pinkleton. And her Daughter In-law Brenda Hodge, and to her late sons, Kirk and Steve Hodge. She was one of eleven siblings, all of whom preceded her in death, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, and joy that continues through her children and grandchildren greatgrand children and great great granddaughter .
Known for her ambitious spirit, cheerful nature, and easygoing charm, Easter filled every room with warmth and conversation. Her greatest joys in life came from her family, her faith, and her time spent in church. She loved reading her Bible and completing word search puzzles, small pleasures that reflected her thoughtful and conscientious heart.
A graveside service will be held at a later date to honor her life and memory.
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” — Revelation 21:4.
