Donna Lee McConnell

Mrs. Donna McConnell, 76, a resident of Columbia, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, at NHC Maury Regional in Columbia, Tennessee. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Donna was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She shared a devoted life of over fifty years with her husband, David McConnell, and found her greatest joy in spending time with her family.

Donna was born on November 10, 1949, in Pontiac, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Earl McSpadin and the late Irene Littlefair McSpadin. A graduate of Rochester High School class of 1968, in Rochester, Michigan. Donna enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and had a special love for bowling, gardening, wrangling her chickens, bird watching, and traveling. Whether tending her garden, caring for her animals, or planning her next adventure, she brought enthusiasm and joy to everything she did. She will be remembered for her caring spirit, gentle heart, wicked sense of humor, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends.

 In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Erin McConnell and Dawn McConnell; her grandson, Matthew (Elizabeth) McConnell; her sisters, Janet (Tim) Adams, and Barb (Wayne) Yeager; and her brothers, Larry (Darla) McSpadin, and Mike McSpadin.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Vanderploeg and Diane Pritchard.

Donna’s memory will be cherished always by those who loved her.
