Deborah, affectionately known as “Neicy,” was born on February 10, 1961, in Columbia, Tennessee, and was the daughter of the late Leroy Lacy and the late Willie Louise Armstrong. She was a longtime and devoted member of Wayman Chapel AME.

Neicy was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She worked at Goodwill for more than 18 years, where she was known for always being willing to work hard. She had a love for collecting things and enjoyed finding and keeping items that caught her interest.

Neicy shared more than 15 wonderful years with her fiancé and longtime companion, Robert “Cal” Bellanfant. Together, they shared a deep love for one another and especially enjoyed being grandparents together.

Above all, Neicy treasured her family. She especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Nana.” She took great joy in being a grandmother and in making memories with each of them. Her love for her family, her hardworking spirit, and her unique personality will be remembered and cherished by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving fiancé and longtime companion, Robert “Cal” Bellanfant; sons, Cameron Braden, Brandon Braden, Preston Braden, and Thomas Braden; daughters, Marquissa Braden and Kelly Braden; brothers, Wendell Turrentine, William (Melissa) Turntine, Jamie Armstrong, and Reggie Lacy; sisters, Alicia Sanders, Veronica Bills, Taryna Holt, Jennifer Armstrong, Tarria Turrentine, and Rhonda Turrentine; grandchildren, Shamar Johnson, Da’Kyrah Braden, Kaiden Braden, Kailyn Braden, Amirah Braden, Maysen Kinnard, Domonic Kinnard, Zorah Kinnard, Alivya Kinnard, Chance Estrada, Saint Kyro, and Savannah Estrada; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tim Lacy; sister, Linda Armstrong; nephew, Keon Turrentine; great-nephew, Ke’Marion Cathey; and grandson, Jayden Braden. Her family finds comfort in knowing that Neicy will be welcomed at the pearly gates of Heaven by those she loved and lost before her, and that she is once again reunited with them. Pallbearers will be Travis Holt, Randall Turrentine, Steven Turrentine, Courtney Armstrong, Quantez Turrentine, Marquise Martin, and Marckus Jones.
