David Ray Rochelle

David Ray Rochelle, age 63, a resident of Primm Springs, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at his Dog Creek residence.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Kenvin Sisk, Keith Baker, and Timmy Brown officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in New Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery in Hickman County. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Born on March 25, 1963, in Centerville, Tennessee, David was the son of the late James Thomas Rochelle and the late Viola Malugin McCord. After the death of his father at a young age, he was lovingly raised by Jerome “JR” McCord, who also preceded him in death. David was a 1981 graduate of Santa Fe School and dedicated twenty-seven years of service to Stanfill Hardwood Lumber Company in Culleoka.

David was a true outdoorsman who found peace and contentment in nature. He was a cattleman who enjoyed farming, spending time on his porch, and appreciating the simple pleasures of life. Known for his honesty and strong work ethic, he was a man of his word and had a wonderful sense of humor that brought smiles to those around him. More than anything, he cherished his family and treasured every moment spent with his daughters and grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Jessie (Timmy Brown) Rochelle, Christina (Cory Chapman) Rochelle, Makayla Rochelle, Roxanne (Alan) O’Guin, grandchildren, Riley (Marissa) Wesbrooks, Thomas Wesbrooks, Josey Brown, Micah Brown, Peyton Pewitt, Harlyn Pewitt, Keylee Chapman, significant other, Nancy Alexander, sister, Brenda (Johnny Hill) Odom, and one great grandchild on the way.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son in law, Jonathan Pewitt.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Marvin Rochelle, Phillip Rochelle, Riley Wesbrooks, Thomas Wesbrooks, Cory Chapman, Timmy Brown, Harlyn Pewitt, and Dean Sewell. Honorary pallbearers will include Bruce Odom, Justin Odom, Micah Brown, Alton Harvill, Alan O’Guin, and employees of Stanfill Hardwood Lumber Company.
