Daniel Chester Tomaszewski

Daniel Chester Tomaszewski, age 73, husband of Pamela Miller Tomaszewski, and a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Deacon Ray Seibold officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home.

Born on July 16, 1953, in Saginaw, Michigan, Dan was the son of the late Chester F. Tomaszewski and the late Thelma Ronan Tomaszewski. He began his career with General Motors in 1971 and worked there for more than 30 years before retiring in 2003. On April 28, 1973, he married the love of his life, Pamela Miller, and together they built a beautiful life and raised three sons.

Dan had a love for the simple things in life, especially fishing, music, and spending time with his family. He had a special fondness for The Beatles and could often be found listening to their music. His love for the band extended to collecting T-shirts and memorabilia, which became a special part of who he was.

A great sense of humor, Dan was a jokester who could bring laughter and joy to those around him. He had a love for life and compassion for everyone. Dan was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Chris (Tiffany) Tomaszewski, Daniel (Amy) Tomaszewski, John (Melinda) Tomaszewski, brother, Kenneth Tomaszewski, brother in law, William (Veronica) Miller, grandchildren, Joseph, Wesley, Cassie, Paul, Will, and Lina Tomaszewski, nieces, Heather (Brian) Hitsman, Maureen Cronk, Jeanne Tomaszewski, nephew, William (Jolyn) Miller, and best friend, Jim Church.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marcia (Carl) Cronk, and sister in law, Diane Tomaszewski.
