Cynthia Elaine “Sgt. Major” Clifton’s journey on this earth came to an end, peacefully, on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the age of 64.
Born on June 25, 1958, in Enterprise, Alabama, Cyndie was the daughter of Sophia “Sonya” Reichinger Clifton and the late Ralph Clifton. Although a strong, direct, and individualistic, everyone was drawn to Cyndie, and she could light up any room. She loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar. She had a green thumb, could grow anything, and loved to garden and canning. She enjoyed fishing, loved the water, loved ALL animals, and you often found her wearing a hat. Above all, Cyndie loved her family and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Crystila Brazier (Charlie “Bubba”) Robinson, Sasha (Jason) Smith, Marshall (Christiana) Ritenour, Jeremy “Bubba” Fisher, brother, Anthony Bud Clifton, sisters, Joann (Jeff) McCrory, Vivian (Billy Huff) Lewis, grandchildren, Suzanna White, Logan White, Weslee Robinson, Carter Smith, Jasper Smith, Levi Ritenour, Aubriana Ritenour, Ocean Smith, Brooke (Nick) Griego, Blaine (McKenzie) Kilburn, Tristan Fisher, Rob Fisher, great grandchildren, Blayden, Brynlee, Ryder, River, Penelope, Phoebe, and Natalie, special cousin, Sandy Brazier, best friend since 5 th grade, Betty Emerson and caretaker, Bill Gentry.
Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Annabelle Smith, and soul mate, William Travis Gobble.
The family will celebrate her life at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.
