In Loving Memory of Cory Glenn Hood, born February 23, 1999, and passed away on October 16, 2026.
Cory was a free spirit who loved life, cherished his family, and found joy in the beauty and freedom of the great outdoors. He had a spirit that could not be confined, a love for adventure, and a way of leaving an impression on the people he met. Cory lived life in his own way, and those who knew him will remember him for the person he was, the memories he created, and the love he brought into their lives.
Above all, Cory was a son, a brother, and a beloved member of his family. He is survived by his mother, Tammy Ruth (Stafford) Hood, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, and his father, Charles Allen Hood (Nikki), of Grant, Alabama. He also leaves behind his older brothers, Christopher Hood (Caroline) and Pierce Hood, and his younger stepbrothers, Cameron Reeves (Lorena) and Gabriel Reeves.
Cory’s life was a reminder that every person has a story, every life has meaning, and every soul leaves a mark on this world. Though his journey was not always easy, he was loved by all who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched.
Cory’s love for the outdoors reflected the free spirit he carried within him. The open sky, the beauty of nature, and the freedom of the world beyond four walls were a part of what made him who he was. Though he is no longer here to share in life’s adventures, his memory will live on in the places he loved, the stories told about him, and the hearts of those who will never forget him.
The loss of Cory leaves an ache that words cannot fully express. He will forever be remembered as a son who was loved, a brother who will be missed, and a free spirit whose life touched others in ways that will not be forgotten.
Cory will always be loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. His time on this earth may have ended, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, Cory will be cremated, and his family will gather privately to celebrate his life and cherish the memories they hold dear. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Love Thy Neighbor Ministry @ the link below.
