Mr. Clyde Walker Skelley, age 91, a longtime resident of Santa Fe, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Stephen McCollum and Sammy Walters officiating. Burial will follow in Knob Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on May 3, 1935, in Maury County, Tennessee, Clyde was the son of the late Robert Benton Skelley and the late Louise Haywood Skelley. He graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1953. He was united in marriage for over 60 years to Billie Ann Skelley, who preceded him in death in 2014.

Clyde devoted 42 years of service to Union Carbide before retiring. A faithful member of Knob Creek Baptist Church for many years, he lived a life centered on faith and family. Following retirement, he and Billie Ann enjoyed traveling together and making memories along the way. One of Clyde's greatest joys was supporting his grandson, Ben. He rarely missed a baseball game and eagerly traveled to away games to cheer him on. Above all, Clyde treasured the time he spent with his family and the many memories they shared together.

Clyde is survived by his sons, Ricky Skelley of Santa Fe and Dennis Skelley of Chapel Hill; grandson, Benjamin (Megan) Skelley; great-grandchildren, Hadley Jean Skelley and Grayson Walker Skelley; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Billie Ann, he was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Skelley, and his sisters, Jean Warf and Ruth Wall.

Pallbearers will be Ben Skelley, Mike Wall, Robert Wall, David Wall, Josh Wall, Ronnie Skelley, Tim Skelley, Dustin Skelley, Connie Warf, and Brian Warf. Honorary pallbearers will be his church family at Knob Creek Baptist Church.
