Christy McRee Lovell of Spring Hill, Tennessee passed away peacefully early Friday morning at the age of 65.
Christy was born in Nashville, Tennessee, to Daisy and Christopher McRee. Christy grew up with siblings Edith Mae, Chandler, Christopher, Douglas, Eddie, Dale, Geraldine, and Donald. Her large family cemented the importance of strong family roots, and she carried her love for family throughout her life.
Christy was the devoted mother of Janna (Brian), Kimberly (Jonathan), and David (Chelsey), whom she shared with her former late husband, Roger Jackson. In September 2001, she married her beloved husband, Chip Lovell, and together they built a blended family full of love. With Chip, Christy welcomed her youngest son, Wesley, and embraced her stepchildren Buddy (Brittany), Albert (Hollie), and Katherine (Corey) as her own. Christy and Chip built their love on a deep friendship spending their time on the road and traveling.
Christy found immense joy in her role as “Nanna.” She adored her grandchildren Atlas, Ledger, Norah, Grady, Jackson, Lane, Colesyn, Olivia, and Addison, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Christy was an avid bird watcher taking wonderful candid nature shots. She loved music, particularly disco music, and she was quick to break out her dance moves. Christy will be remembered for her red nails (it’s a power color), legendary pepper steak, and her love of family gatherings at her home.
Christy’s legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life will be at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee Wednesday, September 17th at 4pm to 6pm.
